Summary
Tesla Motors, Inc. (Tesla) is recalling certain 2019 Tesla Model 3 vehicles. The driver-side sun visor may not have the required air bag warning information. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 208, “Occupant Crash Protection.”
Remedy
Tesla will notify owners, and Tesla Service Centers will inspect the visor and replace it, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began December 6, 2019. Owners may contact Tesla customer service at 1-877-798-3752. Tesla’s number for this recall is SB-19-15-003.

Recall Bulletin: Recall Bulletins are mandatory service procedures that must be carried out by Tesla-certified Service Centers. Recall work performed by uncertified technicians could lead to unsafe conditions or voided warranty provisions.
Condition
Some Model 3 vehicles were manufactured without labels on the driver sun visor.
Correction
If the driver sun visor labels are missing (Figures 1 and 2), replace the sun visor with the correct part that contains the labels (Figures 3 and 4).

- If one or both labels are missing (Figures 1 and 2), replace the driver sun visor (refer to Service Manual procedure 15051002).
